Friday, the two hours bumpy ride brought the group to Cao Dai Temple which is located in the city of Tay Ninh, northwest of Ho Chi Minh City. It is the orginal home of the Cao Dai religion which has around three million adherents in Sourthern Vietnam. It's my first time to learn about Cao Dai, a fusion of teachings from Taoism, Buddhism and Confucianism, with elements of Christianity and Islam. Its structure was quaint as the temple is part pagoda, part cathedral, part mosque which represented the ideology behind the religion. These facts are retrieved from here. In addition to my inability of understanding the tour guide's explanation, my poor memory made me google the information out instead.
